Program Description
The intent of the Personal Assistant Service for consumers under the age of 18 years is to provide support for the consumer to participate in structured community activities with typical/non-disabled peers. PA Services for minor consumers vary differently and drastically from our adult consumers. The goal is to provide the consumer with the opportunity for him/her to be a part of a typical environment whereas optimal success may be achieved. The service is meant to assist the consumer with becoming more independent and become acclimated to the environment and/or activity with the idea that this support will not be needed over time.
IRC will support Personal Assistant:
These environments would include:
Local afterschool programs
