Infant Care

6 Months to 24 Months

During infancy, children develop motor skills through tummy time, movement, and interaction with caring adults. We believe an in-home daycare is the closest environment to home. Our infant care includes gentle stretches, leg movements, and hand-eye coordination to build a strong foundation for early development.

As infants grow, caregivers focus on strengthening core muscles while encouraging mobility, emotional expression, and recognition of familiar faces. This stage also supports early language development, as babies begin to babble and communicate.

We can't wait to celebrate each milestone with your little one!

Practical Life

Children develop confidence in their emerging abilities while strengthening gross and fine motor skills. Activities build independence, coordination, concentration, and a sense of order. Practical Life also includes Grace and Courtesy lessons, helping children practice language, manners, empathy, and respectful behavior within the classroom and community.
Activities such as scooping and dry/wet pouring improve focus, while left-to-right sequencing prepares children for organization and early writing skills.

Sensorial

Hands-on activities help children differentiate, match, sort, and explore using all five senses. Children learn about shapes, sizes, colors, textures, temperature, and more through sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste.

Language & Early Literacy

Children are introduced to language, colors, numbers, and music through vocabulary building, daily word activities, felt lessons, rhymes, and sound games using concrete objects. Letters and numbers are introduced using sandpaper letters and the movable alphabet.

Language Arts

Activities prepare children for reading, writing, and using expanded vocabulary with confidence.

Mathematics

Montessori and supplemental learning materials support mathematical skill development, allowing children to learn at their own pace.

Science & Cultural Studies

Children explore topics such as communities around the world, globes, community helpers, transportation, U.S. states, weather and seasons, plant growth, life cycles, habitats, ocean life, and nature through hands-on materials and puzzles.

Music & Movement

Children enjoy 20 minutes of music daily, learning rhythm through singing, movement, and dancing.

If you’d like, I can shorten this further, adapt it for a website, or make it more Montessori-specific.

Potty Training

Our goal is for children to be fully potty trained by age three, with consistent support and collaboration from parents at home.
